A Taste of Printmaking (3-day class) - APW Summer School

This three-day taster class offers the opportunity to explore a combination of skills and techniques. You will learn the printmaking processes engraving, monoprint and chine-collé. Use drawings or photographs as guides to draw, scratch and incise directly into plastic plates, creating images with texture and tone. Construct spontaneous and colourful monotypes, merging painting and printmaking to create beautiful one-of-a-kind prints. Learn how to combine the mediums and use chine-collé techniques to create multi-plate images, with watercolours and oil-based inks. These techniques are ideal for teachers to take back to the school classroom and for secondary students preparing their art folios. Three-day class 10am-4pm each day Thursday 23 January 2020Friday 24 January 2020Saturday 25 January 2020 $595 AUD (including all materials)
